Windshield Repair

If your damage is under the size of a credit card, there is a good chance that Mister Glass will be able to repair the damage on your windshield without having to replace it. With windshield repair, the appearance of the chip in your windshield will improve, but not completely disappear. However, it will prevent the crack from spreading, which prevents needing to have your windshield replaced.

To do a windshield repair, our trained technician injects resin into the crack using a funnel-like device. The technician then pressurizes the air out of the crack in order to allow the resin to completely fill the crack. The filled chip is then allowed time to cure, either under the glaring Texas sun or with the use of an ultra-violet light until the resin dries and your windshield’s structural integrity is retained.

Windshield repair is also affordable. Approximately 95% of our repairs are filed with our customer’s respective insurance companies. If you have comprehensive coverage, most of the major insurance companies will waive your deductible for windshield repair, which means having a chip repaired is at no cost to you.

With windshield repair, we warranty against any further cracking of the chip after a successful chip repair is performed. It should be noted that not all chip repairs are successful. About 5% of the time, the chip will spread while attempting the repair (and would have eventually spread regardless if a repair was attempted or not). If this is the case, Mister Glass will credit the repair towards the replacement of a new windshield for you.
